The Gates of God is one of the key locations in the Heavens. It features a lot in the Soul Calibur series where it also serves as Sofitia Alexander's stage.

Overview[]

The Elder Gods today are imprisoned and no longer worshipped at all thanks to Cetrion. But their spirits will never, ever be extinguished, one can be assure of that. The Gates of God is referring to the Elder God Gait, the bossiest god. It seems like that Cetrion has yet to change the location's name, if she ever will. The Gates of God is actually a temple in the high clouds where one would come to worship the Gods. This godly temple, said to have been constructed by the Greek God of Thunder, Zeus, stands at the peak of a small mountain and is actually the temple of Gait. Around the sides of the mountain spirals a giant stairway. The Elder Gods' angelic minions constructed a corridor for their use beside the stairway of the Gods for those who came to worship at the mountain peak after arriving to the Heavens. All of that today is forgotten, however, as Cetrion now rules the entire shebang. In front of the base of the stairs stands another temple marking the entrance to that corridor. It has been a great long time since this temple was constructed to call the Elder Gods up to have a nice, small chat, but that won't be happening anymore today.
