Killian manages to get loose from his restraints before he attacks Gurner and frees Henderson. Henderson then knocks Gurner out, ties him up and takes him to a warehouse. Several days later, Henderson calls Killian and tells him to meet at the warehouse where Gurner informs them that he and Ike Blumenthal, another business rival of Henderson's, who is also participating in a race for the most richest businessman, but as a dark horse, had planned to split their success together and with the Russian mob, with whom they were both acquainted. Henderson then personally executes Gurner with a silenced pistol.
