William "Freaky Willy" Thompson-Von Crane-Jayden was an Underboss and later Don of the Corleone Family in The Godfather series.

Biography[]

Willy grew up in the same neighbourhood as his friend and fellow soldier, Luigi Pennino. He was "made" a spy after Poli Gatto become soldier and worked over in Charlie Trapani's territory of Crazy Town. He was recognised as a madman in the family.

Promotion[]

Willy got his nickname "Freaky", as he went a little insane after joining the family. Willy and Luigi along with Clemenza were also very good friends and got along well. After Luigi become capo, Willy became a mini-caporegime in the family. He was known as Michael Corleone's favourite mobster.

He was never put in charge in the effort to locate Gatto, instead to keep an eye on cops staying on Corleones' side. In 2011, he was put in charge of a commission meeting on territory of Old Town. After the police came to take away Tom Hagen, everybody blamed Willy for their misfortune. He was, however able to become the Underboss in 2012 after Trapani was found out to be a traitor.

Meeting Finnigan[]

After the murder of Five Families' Dons by Charlie Trapani, Jerry Finnigan, a cop in Corleone's pocket approached Willy in the hopes of having him eliminate an Irish mobster that was attempting to gain a foothold in France, named Patrick O'Donnell. He was send to throw Patrick down off the rooftop of Savannah Hotel where O'Donnell fell to his death.

The Godfather: CoFC[]

In The Godfather: Control of France City, he is the Don of Corleone family and he is giving missions to family members and helps them out in a pinch.

Death[]

On 11th of September, 2015, Willy was chilling at the Corleone Mansion, and Domenico Von Crane brought him some tea to relax. After drinking the tea, Willy started coughing and fell on the ground, dead. His death was assumed as a quick stroke, Von Crane was never found out to be the killer, and Luigi Pennino led the mafia after his death.

Aftermath[]

Pennino would only become another thorne in Von Crane's side and he would need to get rid of him as well in order to take the Corleone family for himself.
