Fat Boss (real name: Juan Pablo Mendez), is a minor character featured in Scarface: Twiy I and II, while he plays a role in general on this Wiki.
He is one of the many fodder-type characters for Miss Peppergut.

During the events of Scarface in Miami, Florida, Fat Boss lead his gang or cartel out of South Town, while he had a secret base in style of a trailer at the Trailer Park. His gang was relatively small compared to other gangs there, like Gaspar's Gang, Montana Gang or the Trailer Park rednecks, and the gang members stick to themselves, otherwise the gang would have been destroyed quickly.
Fatty Boss can be encountered walking the streets of South Town or the Trailer park by Tony Montana, who will instantly recognise him as a Colombian. Fat Boss will admit his nationality and explain to Montana his obsession with coca (cocaine).
Fat Boss appears as the main villain during the take over of Whippet Gambling, where Big Arm Tony Whippet begs Tony Montana if he can help him with a problem he has with the Bossio. Mr. Juan doesn't want to return the money he owes to Big Arm due to his losing habits at the slot machine and is instead hiding secretly at the La Normande Hotel. Montana knows what must be done, so he calls for his red Ferrari and cashes after the Boss who overheard their convo and is fleeing away in a Bacinari, trying to escape to the Trailer park, probably or South Town. Nevertheless, Boss gets injured and knocked out during the chase and Tone steals the money he has and the Bacinari to pay off Big Arm.
After the events of the game, Fat Boss enslaved many of Miami's homeless people and drunks with no future, like Adam and put them to work in his slave camp he had in Trailer park. His scheme was having them rob the nearby gas station and some stores in South Town and Little Havana for his own profit. To make sure they would not try to escape or disobey, Boss would send a loyal mook with them to make sure of it. His actions eventually reached Nicholas Newton, who reported this to his mistress, Abigail Peppercorn. Peppercorn was mad that he exploited the hobos and the drunks instead of "saving them" and decided that the Bossio needs to be taken care of. As he sat in his trailer at the park, eating endlessly, he was encountered by Barnaby Tolbert, who came there with a message from Miss Peppercorn. Juan wouldn't listen to him and opened fire on Barnaby, killing him by shooting him in the head with a Magnum.
Hearing of the situation, Peppercorn herself came to the trailer park with her Albatross and threw a grenade at Boss' trailer. Fat Boss ran outside to see what was going on. Sawing a glimpse of the Peppercorn, he order his goons after her. However, Peppercorn waited in seclusion and when they arrived to her hiding spot, she mowed them all down with her shotgun and Kalashnikov. With his men defeated, Boss farted out a nervous wet fart and started breathing as if he were on a treadmill. Knowing that running would do his fat as no good, he instead hid into his trailer with his double-barrel Shotgun in hands, waiting for Peppercorn to come to his door so he can blow her face off.

However, when Abigail barged into his trailer with her shotgun and AK-47 tied by the waist, Juan lost all of his courage and knew that he would be in no position to get a clear shot at Abby from below the table and would need to get in a better position. However, his cowardice got the better of him and he instead threw his shotgun down. "Wait! Don't shoot! I am coming out!" he would yell as he would crawl from under his table, like a slug.
Peppercorn would only smirk as he would get on his chubby-as knees and beg for mercy and life. Despite hoping for some mercy, Abigail would berate him instead for being such a coward and complain that he didn't put up any fight. Juan's iris would widen as he knew what was about to happen and he would only be able to cry out a faint "no" before Peppercorn would blow his head to bits with the shotgun.
To send a message, she would then cut off his head with his own kitchen knife she found in his drawer and even cut open his body to drag out his guts and intensities. She would then picture his mangled and gored corpse and showed this picture to his hobo slaves and showed them what happened to those who disobeyed her. Having no choice in the matter, the hobo slaves started working for her and her movement overseas.
Trivia[]
- His cartoony version is a bit different than his original or game version, where he looks like a copy of Tom Osalis or his brother. Now, his cartoon version has him wearing a purple shirt with sweat and food stains, since he clearly doesn't care about hygiene at all. Oh, he also doesn't wear his infamous shades, eh?
- Tone Montana was rather angry when the Fat Boss referred to him as "his brother" in Scarface during their convo. Hell, he had the right to be tbh, as he's not even a Latino, let alone a Colombian.
- He is another coward type of antagonist and gang boss as he never does anything to stand up for his fat buttocks, instead sending out his goons, driving away or begging for his life. Like most cowardly villains, it doesn't do him any good.
