Dimitri Shelnov is a major character in the American Crime Tales series who appears as a major character in Tales from Queen City: The Ballad of Sean Killian . He is voiced by Leonard Trevor.
Background[]
Dimitr was born in 1975 in Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union to Vasily Shelnov . During the 1990's, he immigrated with his father to the United States , eventually settling in Queen City where he became involved in his father's and uncle 's crimes at a yong age with a first arrest coming in 2000 when he stole a television set. Shelnov would become a major Russian mobster in the 2000's and by 2007 was one of the most power mobsters in the city. By 2007 however he was questioning his loyalty to the family as his father and uncle became more unhinged and violent.
Events of The Ballad of Sean Killian[]
In 2007, Dimitri first comes into contact with Sean Killian after Killian and his friend, John Callahan are kidnapped by the Russian mob. Shelnov is at first presented as evil but becomes an ally and shoots the two men keeping them hostage, freeing them and letting them go. Dimitri then calls Killian after finding his number and the two agree to work together as Dimitri has grown tired of his father and uncle's methods and wants to take over the family and Killian wants revenge on the men who had his friend, Quinn O'Leary killed who was Dimitri's uncle. Dimitri works with Killian to weaken his uncle's crime family while also acting as an insider for information. Eventually when the final mission is in progress, Dimitri will accompany Killian, Neil O'Leary , and Dennis McPhearson to the shootout and chase with his uncle. Dimitri is wounded by his uncle when he shoots him in the arm with a pistol while fleeing but he survives and Killian kills his uncle. Dimitri claims that his father has agreed to step aside and he takes over the Shelnov family, forming a business relationship with the O'Leary Clan as well.
