Info[]
Diego's Fort is an abandoned U.S. Army fort on the border between Mexico and United States of America. The U.S. Army abandoned the fort after their war with Mexico, but after that, gold was discovered in The Diablo Mine. Javier Diego and the Mexican Army took up residence in this stronghold. Diego, in his egoism, named it after himself. Gold from the Diablo Mine is transported from the fort to Brimstone in Mississippi via the Sunset Canyon and to Mexico on Diego's railroad.
After Red Harlow escaped imprisonment from the Diablo Mine with the help of Shadow Wolf, his cousin, the two had to fight their way through the fort during the mission of the same name, "Fort Diego".
Layout[]
The adobe brick fort is rundown, dirty and eroded due to the constant sandstorms from the surrounding desert everywhere. There is a Gatling gun positioned on the top of the outer wall, facing the inside courtyard of the fort. It has a fairly similar layout to that of Fort Mercer. There is debris on the right side of the back of the fort and a small fireplace on the left side on the fort's walls.
Journal Entry[]
General Diego established his base in this old fort, which had been abandoned after the war. The General love this place. Its walls are very useful when undesirable visitors arrive. Their barracks are suitable for the restless soldiers of Diego's army. And the view from the watchtower is great, especially behind the Gatling gun.
