The Demons are a type of species in real world and on this Wiki. They serve their wicked Masters in the Underworld, but many have desires to rise above their stations.

Overview[]

Quan Chi, Ashrah, Sereena, Kia, and Jataaka are all known demons who killed humans in order to appease Shinnok's lust for power. They can hide their appearance underneath a human façade, but otherwise seem to be the same as the Onis. Some demons, usually born from a human parent and a demonic one, can become a Succubus or an Incubus. Quan was originally an Oni, until he became a demon with his mastery over sorcery and black, cursed, evil magic. Other generic demons have appeared in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon as regular minions that players fight later in the game and in the DOOM series.

Different classes included the Demon Tards, Demon Warmongers, Demon Warriors and small Imps. Other classes of demons that wear armour and carry weapons are Demon Archers, Demon Captains, Demon Generals and Demon Warlords. Demons minions also exist in some other game series, although they are very similar to imps, except that they're taller.

Most of the demons of the Never Never Land or Netherworld serve a powerful demonic overlord, like Chernobog, Baphomet Williams, Shinnok, Pazuzu or Lord Asmodeus amongst others.

Demons work well together with the undeads, evil spirits and mummies, as evidenced from the Undead Nightmare.

Some demons who transform themselves into humans may come to Earth and do nefarious deeds, either secretly or not so secretly, for their Masters in Hell. They can also work in a role of a Mephistopheles, scheming and making deals with numerous humans in return for fame and riches, while they will feast on their soul once they die, probably. It is possible they also have connections to the Dixmor Project and have promised them numerous riches as well, which would explain why the Project is such a powerful, world-conquering organisation.
