Daniel "Danny" Spielman (born February 15, 1948) is a Jewish-American cartoonist and businessman from New York City. He is the author of a WWII story called Animal War II, which follows both the Pacific and European fronts of the war. In it, Jews are squirrels, Germans are weasels, Polish are pigs, Russians are hedgehogs, French are frogs, British are fish, Japanese are cats, and Americans are dogs (leadership), mice (Army), and ducks (Navy). His father named Elijah Spielman (1906-1982) was a Holocaust survivor alongside his mother Rachel (1912-1968) and his stepmom named Debra (1917-2007). He also owns his cartoon industry business as well as a clothing store called D's.
