Dakota is a minor villain character and a bounty target featured in Red Dead Garlic bread part III, The New Life and part IV the Undead Nightmare.

Dakota is a Native American, wanted for petty theft and can be captured or killed depending on the player's choice. He is from the Dakota tribe, hence his name and a part of Indian Gang.

The New Life[]
Dakota can be seen enjoying a smoke outside the cabin at Tanner's Reach where Professor Harold McDougal meets with Indian Gang in the mission "For Purely Scientific Purposes". During the mission "And The Truth Will Set Ya Free", he, along with Kosumi, is one of Dutch van der Linde's last bodyguards during the final showdown with John Marston. Whether he is killed or not, his death isn't canon there.
Dakota has also been known to wreak havoc on the people of West Virginia alongside his fellow members of Dutch's tribe, and will often be the most hostile towards the player.
He can be found stealing a horse on a Nightwatch job in Gold Town or robbing a wagon with fellow gang members in Great Plains.
Alternatively, he can also be found camping with another Native in Great Plains. Jack Marston can talk to him then, but Dakota will not be in much of a mood for chatter with a "peckerwood", but his friend might.
Undead Nightmare[]
In the Undead Nightmare, Dakota can be found defending the settlement of Fallen Creek where he is the only survivor. If Fallen Creek is saved, he will patrol the fort's battlements or the animals in the corral. He can also be found sleeping or writing in the mountain cave where his boss, Dutch van der Linde used to live.
He also can be seen fighting off Zombies in the wilderness along with Al Wolfscreed and Alfi Scruggs. If he survives he says he will head to Fort Mercer with Al, while Scruggs will flee to Twin Rocks.
WWE series[]
In SVR 11 AH and onwards, Dakota was a tag-team partner of another Native called Enepay. Both used to be allied to Nashoba Mangan but they split up because of too many loses. Dakota was on the ECW brand while Enepay was on SmackDown! and Dakota was a former ECW Champion as well as a WWE Tag Team Champion with Enepay. He has since been killed by his overlord, Count Orlok, for losing too many fights, along with Enepay. Both Enepay and Dakotka were revenants who used to serve Orlok's group.

Trivia[]
- Dakota plays very small role in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition, appearing only once as an enemy in the mission "The Hunt for Dutch van der Linde", but he is quickly killed by Jack Marston.
- He could be from the same tribe as Hinto, as he was also a Dakota.
- Like all of his fellow gang members, Dakotka hates the white man with a burning passion, except for Dutch van der Linde.
