Cleet is a supporting character featured in Rootin' Tootin', Cowboy Shootin', aka RDR II, and probably one of the cowardliest as well.
Info[]
Cleet is an old friend of Gicov Bell and a BFF of Bad Jo, whom both knew Gicov before the start of the game.
Interactions[]
After the mission, "Arthur's Own Son", Arthur can see Cleet wandering around the camp, smoking a fag or sitting around the camp with either Jo, Gicov or Leopold Strauss. Arthur can ask him who he is, but he won't answer, as Gicov will do all the talking and yapping for him, claiming Cleet's tongue hurts. Cleet and Bad, Bad Jo are then again introduced by Bell in the mission "My Last Crusade", as the two men that will help out Dutch's Gang since Dutch van der Linde is becoming more and more paranoid and more and more allies have left him. Cleet then plays a role in the gang's last train robbery, being one of the few to jump aboard the Army train, and helps fight off the American Army with Arthur Morgan and Sadie Adler when the soldiers begin to attack.
When Morgan goes to confront Gicov after discovering that he and Strauss are the traitors from Larry Milton, Cleet and Jo (as expected) side with Gicov in the ensuing standoff, along with Dutch, Javier Escuella and Bill Williamson. When Javier alerts that the Pinkertons are about to attack the camp, Cleet, Gicov and Jo flee along with Dutch to avoid them.
After the Dutch's old bunch finally dissolves following the events of the standoff and Dutch and Gicov's chase after Arthur and John Marston, Bell forms a new gang up in the mountains with Cleet, Strauss and Jo being in it.
At some point in summer of 1889, Cleet became angry with Gicov after a falling out: when Gicov killed a little girl during a robbery, Cleet tried to intervene and save her, much to Bell and Strauss' dismay, so Gicov kicked him out and Cleet ran to the Strawberry village, to the saloon to get a drink.
After hearing rumours about Cleet being in Strawberry, Marston and Adler search for him in the town in order to find Gicov and have revenge for Arthur's death. Cleet flees at the sight of Johnny and Sadie, but fails to escape as Sadie quickly subdues him with a dirty o' lasso.
Death[]
John beats Cleet up until he's all blue, and at the advice of Sadie, decides to put him on the gallows, ties the noose hard and threatens to hang him if he doesn't talk. Cleet, almost pissing himself and being scared to death eventually tells Johnny and Sadie that Gicov and his bunch are hiding out at Mount Harris. Despite pleading for his dumb life, Sadie shots him with her double-barrelled shotgun while John turns the wheel to open up the floor under the gallows and hang the bastard. Luckily for Cleet, he died from the gunshot wound instantly before he could die from the noose, being spared at least the sufferin'.
Trivia[]
- Cleet spoke rarely while at Dutch's Gang camp in the game, but spoke quite a lot when his life depended on it when he was beaten by John Marston and dominated by Sadie Adler.
- Although partially obscured by his neckerchief, it can be observed that Cleet has a tattoo on his chest similar to Bad Jo's.
- Cleet is known for his unattractive appearance, as a lot of characters comment that he is ugly af.
- People like to refer to Cleet as Clitoris to tease him, as evidenced by his time in Gicov's Gang, with Gicov Bell himself and Jo calling him that.
- He is one of the few characters in the game, or in the series even, to be seen what they looked like as a child.
