Cicada is a criminal gang and heist crew who served as the main villainous faction of the first and third Die Hard movies from 1988/12 BH and 1995/5 BH respectively. They were foiled not once but twice by an NYPD officer named John McClane. German brothers Hans Gruber and Simon Gruber each led their own factions or cells of this gang and they were closely allied to the Black Dragon Clan.
