Cesar Degmuzan is a minor villain character featured in Red Dead Redemption part II The Mexican Revolution, part IV The Undead Nightmare and Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition.

Info[]

Cesar is a well-respected soldier in the Mexican Army and known to be incredibly loyal to his higher-ups which is very good for the Army.

Interactions[]

Revolver[]

Cesar first spawns as an enemy minion in the missions "Beer Mountains", guarding the entrance to Brumas the Bear. Secondly, he is one of the last enemies killed in the "Jail Escape" in the final duel between Jack Marston and the Mexican Army. Lastly, he appears in the missions "Fort Mercer" and "End of the Line", serving as a guard for Agustin Allende and fodder for Jack.

Interestingly, Cesar is not present in the mission "The Black Cemetery", at least not canonically.

Mexican Revolution[]

Degmuzan can often be seen patrolling Escalera, El Matadero, or El Presidio where Marston can talk to him. However, if Marston has a bounty, Cesar will track him to multiple locations around Mexico. He can also be seen participating in Mexican army firing squads, or participating in attacks on Reys' rebels.

Undead Nightmare[]

In Undead Nightmare, Cesar can be found patrolling El Presidio armed with a Springfield Rifle, guarding the survivors.

Cesar can also be found defending Torquemada where he is on the roof of one of the buildings. If Torquemada is saved and Cesar survives, he will sit by the TNT along with Sebastian Nalosco. If he lights a cigarette though, Nalosco will fly up in the air, dying, while Cesar will just be black from all the smoke.

Journal Entry[]

In an army like Allende's, they needed someone like Cesar: Brutal, merciless, sadistic, tough, and always ready to follow orders. Loyal to a fault as well. Not a bad deal for a bag of gold every once in a while, right?

Trivia[]

  • Cesar wears a uniform of a non-commissioned officer in the Mexican Army.
  • If his hat is shot off, it will reveal an unusual hair style of a comb-over.
  • He helps Marston burn down the rebel houses in the mission "The Demon Drink". He remarks how beautiful the flames are, to which John replies "You truly are pathetic".
  • After "An Appointed Time", he can be found in areas such as Torquemada and El Matadero, protesting against Reys' Rebels.
  • He is the driver of Allende's stagecoach.
  • He can be found at the Nosalida hideout, fighting Reys's Rebels regardless if Mexico is under Reys' control or Allende's.
