Characters who are members of the Indo-European race. It includes Germanic, Celtic, Romance, Baltic, Slavic, Greek, Albanian, Armenian, and Indo-Iranian peoples. Contrary to popular belief, this does NOT exclusively mean those with light hair and light eyes (even though the VAST majority of those with light hair and light eyes still ARE Aryan). Their hair colour often ranges from blond to dark brown. Their eyes often range from blue to dark brown. They can also have combinations thereof. It all normally depends on the ethnic group. Most Germanic, Celtic, and Baltic people tend to have light hair and light eyes and it tends to be less typical of the other Aryan ethnic groups. However, there still are exceptions.

Back in the day, the word was used by the Indic people of the Vedic period in India as an ethnic label for themselves, as well as to refer to the noble class and geographic location known as Āryāvarta where Indo-Aryan culture was based.
