— Stalker ordering Starkweather to catch James Earl Cash

Bill Starkweather is the highly corrupt commissioner of the VCPD, and appears as an unseen character in film Sudden Violence and is mentioned in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition, despite the game taking place a centennial ago. He never makes an appearance in person, but his voice can be heard during a phone conversation between him and his bff James Stalker at the beginning of "Press Coverage".

Biography[]

Starkweather became chief of the VCPD at an unknown time prior to the events of film/game. While in that position, he started to take bribes from Stalker and in return gave him unlimited access to large sections of Virginia City for his horror projects. 3 years prior to the events of Manhunt, he was put on trial for corruption charges but was deemed not guilty due to all the witnesses disappearing from the case. It is likely that he had them killed. He would have been found not-guilty anyway since he hired Tom Hagen as a lawyer.

He was also charged again in 2014/14 AH for being witnessed killing a suspect. However, he hired Tom Hagen as his lawyer once again and was able to resist arrest. He currently still works as a commissioner, a greedy one at that, but when he retires, the position will be taken by none other than Johnathan Dixmor, believe that.

Events in the film[]

After Cash escapes from Stalker's trap in the Dixmor Asylum and kills Jax and his hit squad of Wardogs, Starkweather is contacted by Stalker as a last resort and is ordered by him to capture Cash and a journalist who had recently been investigating the Boss' activities. Starkweather dispatches multiple officers and S.W.A.T teams to Central Trainstation to apprehend Cash and has journalist's apartment raided in an attempt to seize evidence of Stalker and his studio's crimes. Cash escorts the journalist to the apartment, killing many officers along the way, but it ain't like he gave any fuaks. After securing the evidence, she sends him off and he fights his way through the Swats guarding Virginia City subway and finally shakes the police off at the railyards before moving on to Stalker's Estate after being captured by the Swats.

Trivia[]

  • He himself says he is from UK, but Stalker says he is American. Bill also doesn't have a British accent, so it is possible he was lying, fancying himself up to appear cooler.
  • He claims he saw both Mothman and the Flatwoods Monster first hand.
  • He is one of the, as The Simpstens show would say, Bad Cops.
