Greg Whitney (better known as only Big Oaf Whitney) is a minor villain character in Red Dead Revolver.

Big Oaf and his son, Lil' Loaf Whitney, are outlaws in the Bloody Thomas's gang. They came to America from Scotland. When Bloody Thomas' gang disbanded thanks to his death and the death of Greg's son, he joined up with Hal's Gang.
Interactions[]
During the mission "Bounty Hunting", Red Harlow unknowingly walks into the Bloody Thomas' gang's base of operations, Twin Rocks. After most of the gang is dispatched following their bad treatment of Red, Bloody Tom himself, along with Big and Little Oafs, comes out of his shack and attempts to kill Red. Tom and Big Oaf charge at Red immediately, and while Thomas is killed, Greg is only knocked out for sometime but his son, Lil' Loaf, is unfortunately killed by Harlow after putting up some fight.
Greg later appeared in the mission "Ranch War", planning on killing Annie MacFarlane and destroying her ranch with Varmin Kang and two other outlaws, only to be killed by Annie herself with her rifle.

Showdown[]
After completing the level "Bounty Hunting" with an excellent rating, Big Oaf Whitney becomes available as a playable character in Showdown. His special ability is that he gets all of his Standard Knifes upgraded into explosives and can throw them around like dynamites. He can also grab an opponent and throw them into the ground.

- Big Oaf does not have a journal page while his son has.
- In Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition, his role was replaced with Sonny Higbee.
- Greg shares a voice actor with Colonel Daren and Longhorn Luke and so shares some of his quotes with them.
- His voice can also be heard in Tobias Mason's, considering the fact that Mason too, was voiced by Dennis Ostermaier.
- His most common and used nickname is actually an insult to his intelligence.
- Greg Whitney has the second highest bounty in the game of $750, behind only Jesse Lynch, making him quite a big threat.
