Bear Mountains is a location in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition and Red Dead Redemption.

Bear Mountains were used to transport gold from Mexico to Gold Town and it was strongly protected by the Mexican Army and Indian Gang, so if anyone would try to get the gold, he would have to be heavly armed. They are referred to by bears within the mountains. They are only labeled on the paper map as Bear Mountains (West Virginia part) witch means that other half of them is over in Texas.
Description[]
The mountains are north of West Virginia and east of Texas. They form a physical barrier that blocks the player, thereby defining the northern edge of the playable map. The only portion of the mountains that the player can enter is in the northern edge of Tall Trees where Nekoti Mountain and Fallen Creek are located.
This location can not be "discovered" by the player and does not count towards 100% kompletion.
Layout[]
In Great Plains, the mountains begin as steep cliffs north of locations such as Gold Town and Beecher's Hope. Moving east into Tall Trees the road continues along the northern border above Crystal Camp and Union Camp. And in Texas part, a tunnel for the red line train cuts through the mountains between Indian Hills and Sand's Grass.
North of Sand's Grass, a valley extends into the mountains at a location that factors into the Treasure Hunter challenges. The mountains are big and are in both parts of Texas and Vest Virginia.
The river near Tall Trees has its source in the Bear Mountains north of Aurora Lake. In Tall Trees, the mountains enter the playable areas for the first time with locations such as Nekoti Mountain and Fallen Creek. The impassable portion of the mountains forms both the western and northern border of Tall Trees.
Trivia[]
- Players can easily climb the mountain between Fallen Creek and the road leading to it.
- The mountains are analogous to the real world Rocky Mountains, rising steeply to the west of the plains and north of the desert areas.
- Without the use of mods or glitches, it is impossible to get up past the mountain's limit. Since the patch was placed in the glitch in the train tunnel to get onto the mountains has been reduced from a high success rate to a decimal.
- The glitch to get on top of the mountains, when successfully done means that the player can shoot any other online player in the map as long as they have rifle or a sniper.
