Bad Jo is a minor villain character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Info[]

The bandit known only as Bad Jo is an old friend of Gicov Bell and Cleet, who used to ran with Dutch's Gang and Gicov's own gang.

He was known for his scary-s face and brutality.

Interactions[]

When Dutch's gang appears to be wanting to fall apart like dominoes, Bad Jo is recruited into it by Gicov Bell and Leopold Strauss to aid the gang in their latest and last robbery of a US Army train, although he plays a minimal part in it and Clitoris plays a bigger role. Nevertheless, the robbery doesn't go exactly as planned and John Marston is shot by the army. After Arthur Morgan goes to confront Bell and Leo for betraying the gang, or allegedly betraying, Jo sides with Gicov and the others during the ensuing standoff against Arthur and Johnny. For Jo it's understandable since he was close with Bell even before the game's events. Jo and the others prepare to shoot the pair, but are interrupted when Pinkertons storm the camp thanks to Javier Escuella and the gang is forced to flee. He can next be seen riding with Douche, Gicov and Cleet chasing after Arthur and John, although the pair manage to lose their pursuers in the dark woods. After Dutch's bunch falls apart, Joe, Dutchy, Cleet and Leo jump into the new gang made by Gicov.

Half a year later, John Marston, Sadie Adler and Charles Smiff learn that Gicov is still alive and journey to Mount Harris after finding out that his gang was hold up there, to kill him in revenge for his betrayal that ultimately led to the fall of the death of Arthur Burton Morgan.

Death[]

Alongside two other gang members, Bad Jo encounters John as he makes his way up the mountain. After a brief confrontation and insults from Jo, Jo and his allies are promptly gunned down and killed by John, who then resumes on his trek toward Leopold Strauss and eventually, Gicov Bell.

Trivia[]

  • Jo has a tattoo on his chest that reads "tout me fait rire", which translates to "Everything makes me laugh" from French. It is unknown if Jo knew what it meant when he put that sith there. However, he possibly did as he might as well be smarter than he looks.
  • His facial appearance is similar to that of Randy Stair, the mass shooter of the Weis Market in Austin, Pennsylvania, in 17 AH.
  • Judging from his ugly-as and scary looks, it is possible Jo would make a good member of the Ugly Gang, were he to appear in Revolver.
  • Jo used to be a dope peddler or supplier for Guido Martelli, one of Angelo Tattaglia's men, before riding with Dutch's wild bunch and eventually, Gicov.
  • Unlike that coward and backstabber Cleet, Jo stood loyal to the gang until his death, while Cleet left it once Gicov and Strauss started getting dirty, only to be killed by John Marston and Sadie Adler in return anyway.
  • Despite being a guy, his name is usually spelled as 'Jo', which is actually a nickname for the female version of the name Joanne or Joan.
  • He has an interesting way of pronouncing the word "capitale", as he pronounces it as "capi-tall-eh", similar to some other non-Italian characters, like Sean MacGuire and Anthony Foreman.
