Baby Monet is the 17th installment to the Baby Einstein series. It is the third and last art video from the original Baby Einstein video series, serving as an art episode sequel to Baby Newton (a math or science episode), and a journey through the four seasons with paintings by Claude Monet.

- This is the only appearances of Baby Monet the Purple Zebra and Seasons Zebras.
- This is the first appearance of Zen the Zebra who doesn't return until World Animal Adventure, and Baby Vivaldi the Mallard as a puppet who doesn't return until Meet The Orchestra.
- This is the last VHS to include a Bonus CD enclosed. The VHS comes with the Math and Science Audio Sampler CD, which has the same music from the CD enclosed on the Baby Galileo, Numbers Nursery and Baby da Vinci VHS tapes. This is also the last VHS to come with the Math and Science Audio Sampler CD.
- This is the last video in the artist-based trio series: the other two are Baby Van Gogh and Baby da Vinci.
- On top of that, this video is also the art episode sequel to Baby Newton, a math episode.
- This is the first video to have Corbis Motion stock footage.
