The Assassins are gangsters, who's jobs are to assassinate and murder mobsters from rival families in their hit contracts from their own crime family members. For their work, they get a big reward, and they are very valuable to each of the family members. They can take orders from Spys, Soldiers, Capos, Underbosses, Lawyers, and Dons.

Not only do assassins often work for mafia, mob, cartel, triad, or yakuza groups, as they can also work for other underground systems or cults (often with hippies, hipsters, goths, punks, emos, etc. as members) where they rank about the same as they do in a crime syndicate and are just as valuable.
