Apollo Creed was a Nigerian-American boxer who fought an Italian-American boxer named Rocky Balboa. He later befriended him in the same year. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and had a trainer named Tony Evers who would later on become Rocky’s trainer. He also had a wife named Mary-Anne Creed, not Marianne. He was 6’2 and weighed 220 lbs. In 1985, Apollo Creed thought he was tough enough to take on Ivan Drago so he challenged him and even poked fun at the Russian. As a result, he ended up dying after Ivan beat his him to a bloody pulp. Regardless of what anybody says and regardless of any bias, it was NOT Drago's fault for killing Apollo. It also was NOT Rocky’s fault for not throwing the towel. Apollo's death was entirely his own fault for thinking he was invincible and for mocking the European man! His son named Adonis Creed filled in his father's shoes from 2015 onwards and was born after his father died. Apollo Creed was also named after the Greek god who was his biological father.
