Almeida's Keep is an arena that first debuted in Mortal Kombat 12. It serves as the very location of the ancient hourglass that belongs to Queen Almeida which she can use to change and alter timeline. It used to be in the possession of Lord Azazel for a while.
It is the first of the three arenas that you fight Almeida in during the last epic boss battle. The other two are the Earth's prehistoric era which includes some dinosaurs (including a SE Barney) and an arena which can be seen to be located somewhere near the Multiverse Federation's headquarters.
After Azazel's takeover of the entire universe thanks to his powers, Almeida stepped up her game and removed him from power.
