Alberto "Shadow" Ruiz was an underboss of the Sausage's Army who worked as Alejandro Sausage's chief hitman. He was killed by Tony Montana when he insisted on blowing up Macos (or Matos) Gutierrez's car with his wife and children inside.

Alberto Shadow was born in Bolivia, and he worked for Alejandro Sausage as his expert in the "disposal business". Ruiz was used as his main hitman. Alberto was first seen by Sausage's side while Sausage shows Oscar Sanchez and Tony Montana his drug factory. Later at Sausage's Mansion, Alberto gives a piece of paper to Sausage saying that Oscar was killed by Miami S.W.A.T in South Town, Miami which causes Sausage to be afraid of Miami police for a few days. In the alt. timeline, Sausage orchestrated Oscar's hanging with SWAT's help so he could be off the hook.
As Alberto could not speak due to a throat disease, Sausage later requested Tony to assist Alberto in doing a job in North Town; to assassinate a journalist who has information of the illegal activities of Alejandro and his associates which will give Sausage three years of imprisonment due to tax evasion and for being a druggie. After they arrived in North Town, Alberto posed as a mechanic and planted a bomb under the journalist's car. The next day, Shadow with Tony, Jorge Hannavera, and Joe followed the journalist to his hotel but he was in the car with his wife and two children. Tony, being a bleeding heart humanitarian, becomes more nervous as he is afraid of killing innocent people, especially children, a fact that was of no concern to Alberto. Tony loses his temper and shoots Alberto in the head before he could detonate the bomb, in return making Sausage go ape-shit crazy and make a war on Tony. A war that lasted for two years.

A deadly hitman who likes to steal with him something personal of anyone whom he kills. The typical fuking Ruiz steals the souls of his victims like a Devil. It looks quite good for his entertainment and joy and he will continue this in his next destination: Hell.
