Events of Queen City Underground[]
In 2001, seven years after the divorce with Francine, McCreary is now working as a bodyguard at the club after being promoted and given higher salary, when two drunk patrons of the club began touching a stripper inappropriately and she called for help. McCreary then beated up the two patrons with his fists and a beer glass and thrown them out on the street. Montinelli witnessed this fight and called Aiden to his boss' office soon after. Montinelli, along with Vittanese explain to him that they could have a better job for him and then, Montinelli tasks him with doing a personal favour for him and Vittanese. Montinelli and Vittanese's missons send McCreary straightening out loose ends that Mario and Guido had with various people around the city. After completing Mario and Guido's missions, he is taken in a black limousine with Guido, Mario and Jimmy to the home of Gambinuchi Crime Family boss, Ricardo Gambinuchi. Gambinuchi and McCreary has a sitdown at his manor and they discuss a problem with another criminal faction known as the Alfred Crime Family that has been disrupting Gambinuchi's businesses and being one of their major rivals. Aiden's first job is to meet up with an Irish bomb maker named John Callahan, McCreary goes to meet Callahan and the two drive to a German restaurant where Alfred Family caporegime, Hanz Alfred is eating his favourite lunch. McCreary and Callahan plant a small bomb under Alfred's car and Alfred begins driving with Callahan and McCreary following him. The cars drive onto the Tidemouth Bridge and Callahan detonates the bomb. The explosion blows the front of the car off, sending it skiding off the bridge and into the river below. Following Hanz's death, his cousin and boss, Adal Alfred, the Don of the Alfred Crime Family, wages war with Gambinuchi Family and violence erupts in the city. During this time, McCreary meets a local reporter named Enzo Tortelli at a bar, McCreary was given a task from Gambinuchi's underboss and right-hand man called Rocco the Diamond to hire Tortelli in order to begin spread false information about the Alfred family and to attract the police attention to them, as well as paying off the local businessman, who is heavily involved with construction and media, David Henderson, to do the same. Shrotly after, the media becomes heavily flooded with false information about the Alfred family. Three weeks later, a car was found in the driveway of Ricardo's manor. McCreary and Gambinuchi opened the trunk of the car and found the body of Tortelli with his throat slit and a note saying that they are next on the list if they continue to spread false information about them. In the attempt to broker a peace, Gambinuchi sends McCreary, as well as his favoured sons and henchmen, Vinnie Gambinuchi and Silvio Gambinuchi to a meeting with a man named Franz Volner in order to make peace with the Alfred Family. The peace meeting goes down south soon and Volner tries to have the trio killed. The men managed to kill Volner and his goons and escape the meeting and after delivering the news, Gambinuchi sends the trio to the Alfred Family compound, where they engage in a massive shootout with the majority of the Alfred family members. The men emerge victorious and Adal is fatally shot and killed by the trio. The men then return to the Gambinuchi household, where they celebrate the victory with Ricardo and his other capos and soldiers. McCreary becomes a very popular and well liked associate of the family and goes on to work for the family as their major hitman. In 2007, he is later seen in the background of a cutscene in The Ballad of Sean Killian, though he has no speaking role and no missions.
