Adal Alfred is the main antagonist of Queen City Underground. He was voiced by James Cornell.
Background[]
Alfred was born in 1958 in Bielefeld, West Germany to a wealthy military industrialist, ex-member of the Nazi Party and the mob boss of a father called Volker Alfred and his third wife Brigitta. At some point, he immigrated to the United States and began getting into a life of crime himself. Eventually, he was able to establish his own criminal empire in the 1990's in Queen City. In his appearances, he is shown to only speak German, though it is possible that he can speak English, but he uses it very rarely.
Events of Queen City Underground[]
In Queen City Underground, in 2001, Alfred is operating his organisation in Gambinuchi Family's territory, which angers their boss, Ricardo Gambinuchi and causes him to go into the constant "feud after feud" situation, until the moment when the families finally start to go into a phase of a mob war following the death of Adal's cousin, Hanz by Gambinuchi's hands. Alfred is seen in several cutscenes throughout the game, but he is not actually met by the protagonist, Aiden McCreary until the final showdown at the end of the game in his mansion. Alfred sends several armed men to kill McCreary, but with the help of Silvio and Vinnie, the men are defeated. Adal is backed against a wall in his mansion's office and gunned down by Aiden, Silvio and Vinnie, ending the mob war and Adal's organisation for good and ending the game with a party at the Gambinuchi Family's compound.

- Alfred and Franz Volner are the only two antagonists in Queen City Underground that have known birthdates.
- In any of his appearances, he never speaks English.
- Origianlly in development his name was Frank Manfred but it was changed during development.
